Entries for the National Press Club's 23rd annual members photography exhibit are due this weekend: Friday, Aug. 12, for print photos and Saturday, Aug. 13, for electronic images. Members are encouraged to download and read the instructions before submitting their entries. Participants may enter up to two print photos and four electronic images in the exhibit. Club member artist, poet to discuss their book on Metro riders, Aug. 17
National Press Club member Carol Morgan, along with local poet Gerry Hendershot, has published a book, "METRO Anthology," which features 12 pen and ink drawings of Washington Metro riders by her accompanied by 12 poems by Hendershot. The poems give the thoughts and concerns of persons riding Metro buses and trains, based on the expressions captured in the sketches. In January 2020, Morgan's opinion piece, "What I see when I draw on Metro," was published in the Washington Post.
