Reliable Source offers weekday lunches, Friday dinner and Taco Night with new menu
The Reliable Source is back in service for members and guests Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday evening for dinner and Taco Night starting at 5:30 p.m. That's not all. Check out the parking, rooms for groups and, if you can't make it, consider take-out: Free parking with purchase of food and beverage after 5 p.m. on Fridays at One Parking, 1325 G Street NW. The Cosgrove Lounge and the McClendon Room are available free of charge for members sponsoring a group, but it must spend a minimum $250 in food and beverage. Reliable Source resumes Thursday evening service tonight, with weekday lunch, Friday dinner and Taco Night going strong
The Reliable Source restaurant on the 14th floor of the National Press Club will resume Thursday evening service for food and drink on May 19. The bar will remain open after lunch service on Thursdays, through dinner service that begins at 4:30 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m., when the kitchen closes for the night. This marks another step toward returning to normal operating hours. General membership meeting is at noon TODAY
The National Press Club's next General Membership Meeting is scheduled for noon on Friday, May 20. Registration is required. The meeting will be held in-person in the Fourth Estate restaurant. Members who cannot attend live can watch online here. Online participants will need to log in on press.org to view the livestream. Club springing back to in-person life
Although the coronavirus pandemic continued to slow National Press Club in-person activities early this year, the Club has started to spring back to a pre-pandemic kind of life in the last three months. Business activity and revenue increased sharply in March, April and May, while the ballroom has been filled by Club President Jen Judson’s recent inaugural gala. Newsmaker press conferences, such as one featuring former Attorney General Eric Holder, have been held in a hybrid in-person and online format.
