The National Press Club Journalism Institute expanded its programming, services and reach in 2020 — for journalists, a year marked by coverage of the global COVID-19 pandemic, systemic racial inequities in and outside of newsrooms, and an election cycle unlike any other. He said his priorities included being open about both his department's successes and its challenges.
