Voting in Club election ends Friday, Dec. 10, at 4 p.m. (online) and 7 p.m. (at Club)
Voting in the National Press Club election is approaching the finale. Eligible Club members can cast ballots online for 2022 officers and board members until 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10. Members can vote in-person at the Club on Dec. 10 from 4 until 7 p.m., when the election concludes. Candidate statements and instructions on how to vote online can be found on the Club website. Members must be logged in to view the statements and to vote. Instructions for logging into the eBallot portal were also sent via email on Monday, Nov. 22. Miriam Rider, journalist liaison at Foreign Press Center, Taco Night fan, 72
Miriam Rider, member of the National Press Club for nearly 19 years and a popular assistant to journalists at the State Department's Foreign Press Center, died Dec. 1. She was 72 and lived in Rockville, Maryland. Rider, who often lunched at the Club and loved attending Taco Night in the Reliable Source, was known as Mimi to friends and family. She worked for 30 years as an information specialist at the Center, which is housed in the National Press Building. Online voting for 2022 National Press Club officers and members of the board of governors will end Friday, Dec. 10, at 4 p.m. Club members who want to be at the Club to vote in person may do so from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Then stick around, because shortly after the polls close, we'll have all the election results, and toast the winners in the Reliable Source Bar & Grill.
