Annual Club Children's Holiday Party will not be held this year
Several National Press Club members have asked about the annual Children's Holiday Party at the Club. Here is a statement from NPC President Lisa Nicole Matthews about the holidays at the Club: “Out of an abundance of caution the Club has decided to cancel this year’s Children’s Holiday Party. On Nov. 2, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine for children 5 to 11 years old. Voice of America, ProPublica among National Press Club Journalism Awards winners
Voice of America won a National Press Club Journalism Award for coverage of the Trump administration’s attempts to redirect and censor VOA coverage. ProPublica won awards for consumer news and political news. Those news outlets were just two among a host of winners for outstanding coverage of events in 2020.
