Members wishing to run for National Press Club office or a position on the Board of Governors have until the close of business today, Nov. 8 to get their petitions in. Candidates must gather 25 signatures from Journalist members to run for president and 15 signatures for all other positions. The signatures can be gathered either online or in person. Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough will speak at a National Press Club in-person Headliners Luncheon on Tuesday, Nov. 9. McDonough will give a progress report on the state of America’s veterans in the lead up to Veterans Day on Nov. 11 and the 100th anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
