By U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will be speaking at a National Press Club luncheon on Wednesday, June 5 Before ascending to the position of USDA chief in January 2009, Vilsack, a native of Pittsburgh, served two terms as the Governor of Iowa. Post 20 to Hear from National American Legion official at Thursday luncheon
Steve Gonzales, an official with the American Legion's Washington office, will give a rundown of the organization's federal legislative and policy objectives at the noon, May 16, luncheon meeting of the National Press Club's American Legion Post 20. The speaker portion of the Post 20 meeting is open to all NPC members. The meeting will begin at noon in the McClendon Room. Gonzalez, who is the Legion's assistant director of the national economics division, works on federal issues affecting veterans and their families.
