The NPC Speakers Committee has extended its deadline for application for membership to Friday, Jan. 16. The original application deadline was Monday, but Speakers Committee Chairman Jerry Zremski extended it because of problems with his email account which may have affected potential applications. Come to the National Press Club on Tuesday, Jan. 20, to watch the live broadcast of President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address in the Reliable Source and the Bloomberg Room. Working journalists and spectators looking for a fun place to watch are welcome. The address will air from 9 to 10 p.m. on a large flat screen in the Truman Lounge, for members only and in the Bloomberg Room, for the public. The Club will have a working area for journalists. HUD Secretary Julian Castro to speak Jan. 13
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro will speak at the National Press Club at noon on Tuesday, January 13.
