Tickets are now on sale for the 2019 National Press Club Spelling Bee, which will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the ballroom. The event, organized by the Club's Young Members Team, pits members of Congress against Beltway reporters in an evening of camaraderie and entertainment. Tickets can be purchased online. Luke Jerod Kummer’s curiosity for what makes a good story led to his discovering a vital part of Pablo Picasso’s life that dramatically influenced the artist’s work but was barely explored elsewhere, the author of "The Blue Period" told a National Press Club Book Rap on Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Cosgrove Lounge.
