NPC members’ digital agency honored by D.C. Chamber of Commerce
The digital agency Social Driver, operated by National Press Club members Thomas Sanchez and Anthony Shop, has been named D.C. Small Business Champion of 2012 by the D.C. Chamber of Commerce. The small company, which was nominated for the award along with several area competitors, connects companies with people online by designing websites, developing mobile applications and managing social media campaigns. Police crackdown on photogs increasing in U.S., media rights attorney tells NPC
Incidents of journalists and citizens being denied by police their rights to photograph and record in public spaces are on the rise in the United States, a media law attorney told members of the National Press Club June 27. Did you know that, as one of its member benefits, the National Press Club hosts a monthly trivia night? It's always fun and well-attended. The next edition of Pub Quiz is scheduled on Thursday, July 12. The competition is held in the Truman Lounge and starts at 6:30 pm. Reservations are unnecessary. Bring your own team or show up and join one. Prizes for each round of questioning include complimentary appetizers. US Airways CEO to discuss proposed American Airlines merger at July 18 luncheon
US Airways Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Doug Parker will discuss his efforts to merge his airline with American Airlines at a National Press Club luncheon on Wednesday, July 18. Parker also will discuss the current state of the airline industry and make the case for the current wave of consolidation in the skies.
