The National Press Club experienced a unique treat on Feb. 22nd, with the world debut of best-selling author, Eleanor Herman's King Peggy at a NPC Book Rap and a fascinating talk given by the King, herself. Peggielene Bartels, the Ghanian Embassy secretary who was enstooled in 2008 as "King Peggy" of Otuam, Ghana, was impressively drummed into the ballroom accompanied by 10 African kings. NPC Member Carol Morgan displays artwork in two shows
National Press Club member Carol Morgan is displaying her sculpture,"Polish lady" in the student show at the Art League Gallery at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, Va. until March 4. A reception will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on March 4. Morgan is also displaying her wax sculpture at the Washington Studio School, at 2109 S Street, NW, until April 2.

John Pistole, admiistrator of the Transportation Security Administration, plans to speak on “Counterterrorism, Risk-Based Security, and TSA’s Vision for the Future of Aviation Security" at a National Press Club luncheon on Monday, March 5.
