Hospital executive says academic medical centers contribute breakthroughs
Academic medical centers have produced breakthroughs in medicine but could be threatened by the health care reform law, Dr. Herbert Pardes, president and chief exeuctive of New York-Presbyterian Hospital, said at a March 31 Newsmaker. Club student member elected GW student body executive vice president
National Press Club student member Ted Costigan was elected executive vice president of the student body at the George Washington University last week. Costigan ran against four other candidates, garnering more than 53 percent of the vote in a run off election. Club member Dana Wright advised Costigan’s campaign and helped craft a winning message concerning the elimination of student fees and increased funding for university libraries.
