U.S. Postmaster General to reveal plan to fix agency's finances at Nov. 21 luncheon
U.S. Postmaster General Patrick R. Donahoe will reveal more details about his plans for fixing the U.S. Postal Services’ financial troubles at a National Press Club luncheon Monday, Nov. 21. Donahoe, who was named to head the USPS a little more than a year ago, will explain his reasons for cutting thousands of jobs, closing thousands of local Post Offices and possibly ending Saturday delivery. Lobsang Sangay, prime minister of the Tibetan government-in-exile, urged the United States to pressure China to resume talks aimed at peaceful resolution of its issues with Tibet at a Nov. 2 Newsmaker.
