The McClendon Room became an informal photography classroom during the NPC Photography Committee’s first Photos & Tacos night on April 23. The Club’s experienced member photographers answered individual questions. This ensured that no one would be uneasy about asking “simple" questions as they might have been in a traditional question-and-answer setting. Chef Spike Mendelsohn of Good Stuff Eatery on Capitol Hill and his new cookbook will be featured at a June 7 dinner in the Reliable Source Restaurant. The five-course dinner with wine pairings is $90 for Club members and their guests, $110 for non-members. Mendelsohn, who has appeared as a contestant on Top Chef and Iron Chef, trained at the Culinary Institute of America. His book "Good Stuff" is scheduled for publication over Memorial Day weekend.
