Don L. Blankenship, the chairman and chief executive officer of Massey Energy Co., will speak at a Luncheon on Thursday, July 22, on the need to increase surface mining of coal to meet the nation’s energy requirements. Massey Energy is the fourth-largest coal company in the United States. The United States isn’t the only country closely following the Donald Trump-Hillary Clinton presidential race. It’s often the lead story of the day in New Zealand. National Press Club member Victoria Gaither, who co-hosts a radio show in New Zealand, joins Broadcast Committee member Mike Hempen to explain why that country is so interested in the outcome.
