Ron Edmonds to Present Pulitzer Photos at Noon, Oct. 28
Ron Edmonds, recently retired AP senior White House photographer, will present copies of his trilogy of Pulitzer Prize-winning photos to the NPC when he speaks to the Photography Committee at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the Zenger Room. Edmonds' photos of the Reagan assassination attempt in 1981 won the 1982 Pulitzer Prize for spot news photography. The photos will hang on the NPC's walls. A trilogy of Pulitzer Prize-winning photos taken by Ron Edmonds, recently retired AP senior White House photographer, will be presented to the NPC on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at noon. Edmonds will add his Pulitzer photos to the Club's growing collection when he speaks to the NPC Photography Committee in the Zenger Room. Remembering the NPC luncheon featuring music legend Pete Seeger
Former National Press Club President Doug Harbrecht remembers the Pete Seeger luncheon he hosted on February 10, 1998 on this edition of Update-1. Harbrecht, who was club president at the time, introduced the music legend. Seeger spoke about why he felt America needed small organizations of committed people to meet the challenges of the 21st century. He also performed several songs.
