The National Press Club's Fourth Estate restaurant will celebrate Lobster Night on Wednesday, July 25, in its last-Wednesday-of-the-month tradition. Members pay $25; non-members $30 for a fresh 1 ¼ pound Maine Lobster with coleslaw and choice of french fries or oven crisped new potatoes. Members' Exhibit photos due Aug. 6-17
It's time for National Press Club members to submit their photos for the 13th Annual NPC Members' Photography Exhibition. Photo entries are due by Friday, Aug. 17, and may be submitted beginning Monday, Aug. 6, to the Club membership office. There will be a sign-in sheet. You will need to register your photos with contact information, including your Club membership number. Club journalism awards dinner to celebrate all types of excellence, 7 pm July 24
The National Press Club will celebrate excellence in the news business at its annual Journalism Awards Dinner July 24. Along with highlighting that excellence in the daily work of journalists, the Club will honor the sacrifice of three who gave their lives covering the rebellion in Syria, the creator of C-Span, those who put together the Kalb report and the winners of the 2012 journalism contest.
