Education Secretary Arne Duncan to speak at NPC Luncheon, Oct. 2
Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will discuss achievements and setbacks in U.S. education over the past four years at a National Press Club luncheon on Tuesday, Oct. 2. He also will offer his views on the challenges facing education in the 21st century. During his tenure as secretary, Duncan has led an effort to advance education reform. Marking the four-year anniversary of a landmark consumer product safety law, Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Chairwoman Inez Tenenbaum will discuss improvements made on consumer issues in the United States and globally during a National Press Club Newsmaker on Aug. 9.
