Deadline for NPC journalism contest April 1
The National Press Club journalism contest offers a wide variety of competitions in categories ranging from analytical newsletter writing to humor writing to coverage of the aerospace and the airline industry. NPC's American Legion Post 20 organizes speech contest on U.S. Constitution
Stephen D. Morris, a senior at Gonzaga College High School, won a $1,500 scholarship from the American Legion in an speech contest sponsored by the National Press Club's American Legion Post 20. The March 23 contest, held at Catholic University, was organized by Post 20 member Jonathan Buth. NPC members assisted in the judging. Morris will represent D.C. next month in Indianapolis, competing for scholarships worth up to $18,000. Contestants speak on some aspect of the U.S. Constitution.

Former White House videographer to address Photo Committee meeting at noon, Thursday, March 28
