Piano music celebrates Jazz Appreciation Month at National Press Club
All this week members of the National Press Club will hear wonderful piano music as part of Jazz Appreciation Month. The piano is on the Mezzanine Level, and the music happens from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.. You may even hear those keys while walking across the lobby! A different musician plays each day. The musical interlude was arranged by club member Harry Schnipper, who owns Blues Alley.

5-Day expenses-paid training for environmental journalists
The National Press Foundation is offering a 5-day expenses-paid boot camp on ocean health and sustainable fishing. You will learn about commercial versus recreational fishing rights; innovations in fisheries management; regulation and labeling of domestic and imported fish; natural and man-made threats to the oceans; international laws and disputes; and marine biodiversity. Member Anthony E. Gallo to give keynote address to the Wharton Graduate Emeritus Society
Member Anthony E. Gallo will deliver the keynote address to the Wharton Graduate Emeritus Society Reunion at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia on May 12. The school claims President Trump, Warren Buffet, Elon Musk, and Jon Huntsman, Sr., among its alumni. Gallo is also one of the nominees for the Crandall Citation for his work as a dramatist and his contributions to the National Press Club. He is the only known playwright in the 138-year history of the school and is often called "The Wharton School playwright."
