NPC looking for attendees to August’s AEJMC conference
The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) annual conference will take place in Washington from August 6-9 at Renaissance Hotel, just a short walk from the National Press Club. Vendor increases NPC parking rates at 1325 G St., NW
Effective Friday, May 4, the National Press Club will adjust the pricing of the discounted parking member benefit at the 1325 G St. N.W. PMI parking garage. For years these costs have been the same but recently were increased to the Club by the vendor. The changes are as follows: Purchase of an evening or Saturday parking validation will now be $10 rather than $5. (Note: validation is good for off-peak parking rates only. In praise of bean and beets: Meatless Taco Night in Reliable Source Friday
The Reliable Source is offering something completely different for Taco Night on Friday, April 27. During the regular Taco Night hours, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., soy and plant based proteins will replace the usual ground beef, fish, chicken or turkey. Some of the “meatless meat” will be of a ground beef-like texture; others will be combinations of beans, corn and other legumes.
