Members may qualify for new life-insurance services
Affinity Group Underwriters (AGU), the National Press Club’s partner for health insurance for more than a decade, has arranged a new simplified underwriting life-insurance service for Club members. As a member, you may qualify to apply for up to $500,000 of coverage with just one no-obligation phone call. You won’t have to meet with an agent or take a physical exam. The Washington Post's David Fahrenthold plans to meet with young members of the National Press Club to answer questions and share insight about breaking one of the biggest stories of the 2016 election -- the charitable gifts made by then candidate, now President Donald Trump. NPC Toastmasters contest winner advances to district contest
National Press Club Toastmaster Shelja Purohit gave a humorous speech that demonstrated the importance of understanding your audience to avoid misunderstandings to win at the Area Speech Contest and advance to the District Level Contest in Bethesda, Md., later this month. Purohit joined Toastmasters two years ago so that “I could improve my communication skills,” she said. Evening security enrollment hours set for April 7
For resident members who still need a security fob or enroll to use the access app for our new security gates, the Club will offer evening enrollment hours from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on April 7. Come for an app/fob, stay for a taco! Please bring your membership card, with your 2017 sticker and a photo ID.
