The National Press Club’s Silver Owls will present the Order of the Owl to the Club’s executive director, Bill McCarren, at their Holiday Hoot on Thursday, Nov. 30. Whistle while you celebrate the Owls' Holiday Hoot on Nov. 30
The Silver Owls Holiday Hoot, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 30, will feature world champion whistler Chris Ullman, who will display the artistry that has won him four first place grand championships in the International Whistling Contest. Ullman, director of global communications at the Washington investment firm Carlyle Group, also has performed with 10 symphony orchestras and has whistled the national anthem at major league and college sporting events. Children's holiday party is Dec. 9
The National Press Club's annual Children's Holiday Party takes place on Saturday, Dec. 9. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online. Tonight's Irish food and whiskey night moves to Holeman Lounge
The whiskey of three Irish distilleries and a menu of Irish food will be offered tonight beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Holeman Lounge. The event will offer whiskey from three Irish distilleries: Teeling, Tullamore Dew, and Glendalough. Also to be served: Irish potato bites, salmon and crab roulades, corned beef and sauerkraut, and Irish lamb meatballs.
