The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts a Seventh Street Playhouse production of The Tragedy of King Saul by National Press Club member Anthony E. Gallo on Saturday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. in the Russian Lounge. This two-act play examines the life of Israel's first monarch, King Saul, who was chosen by God but lost divine favor. The ingredients in this play make for intense drama more in line with the ancient Greek tragedies: murder, betrayal, power, depression, fighting, military battles, insecurity, and jealousy. The Reliable Source Buffet is going on a diet. During the week of August 21, the lunch buffet will be reduced to the following choices: the soup of the day, chili, one entrée, one starch, one vegetable, and a limited salad bar with fruit, greens, a limited number of dressings and salad add-ons.
