Come find your inner peace -- or just release some stress -- with two yoga sessions, free for National Press Club members, with Club member Bara Vaida. A morning session will be held at 7 a.m., Friday, June 8, and an evening session at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 19. Members are welcome to attend either or both sessions. Registration is required. National Press Club member Stephen Gregory, publisher of the Epoch Times, will celebrate the opening of the newspaper's new Washington Bureau from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 1, in Suite 446 of the National Press Building. Club members are most welcome to attend. In addition to opening the new office, Epoch Times will expand its U.S. print editions in New York, D.C., Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco from once a week to five times a week. Sign up now for Club tour of historic Washington Navy Yard, June 1
There is still time to register for a tour of the historic Washington Navy Yard on Friday, June 1, at 11 a.m. The walking tour, open to National Press Club members and their guests, will take about 90 minutes and will conclude with a visit to the National Museum of the U.S. Navy. The tour is sponsored by the Club Events Team and American Legion Post 20 (which is affiliated with the Club) and will be hosted by the Naval Historical Foundation. Air Force public affairs chief to address American Legion Post 20, June 19
Brigadier General Edward Thomas, director of public affairs for the Air Force, will be guest speaker at a meeting of American Legion Post 20, which is affiliated with the National Press Club, on Tuesday, June 19, at 12 noon in the Club's McClendon Room. The speaker portion of the meeting is open to all Club members.
