National Guard Bureau public affairs officials will address the National Press Club's American Legion Post 20 at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the McClendon Room. Books and Brunch will host a discussion of "Strangers In Their Own Land," written by sociologist Arlie Russell Hochschild, at noon Saturday in the Fourth Estate Restaurant. "Strangers In Their Own Land" by Arlie Russell Hochschild, one of the most influential sociologists of her generation, will be the topic of discussion at the next National Press Club Books and Brunch meeting at noon Saturday, Aug. 18, in the Fourth Estate Restaurant. Entries now open for Club's annual photo exhibit
National Press Club members can enter their print photos and electronic images for the 19th annual photo exhibit from now through Friday, Aug. 24. Members can submit up to six high-quality pictures for display: two print photos and four electronic images. All pictures must be the member's original work, taken only by the member, and not displayed in previous Club exhibits. Full guidelines, including deadlines, can be found online.
