Free training for journalists: Covering and Protecting Your Election, Oct. 16
National Press Club journalist members can take part in free training on a wide range of Google tools and workflows to help engage audiences, research and report information around the upcoming mid-term elections and use data visualizations in powerful new ways. This SPJ Training Program, in association with the Google News Initiative, will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Google D.C. office, 25 Massachusetts Ave. N.W. Come to a strength building and stress relieving all-levels flow yoga class led by National Press Club member Bara Vaida at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the Cosgrove Lounge. Author to discuss new book on WW II battle at American Legion Post 20 meeting, Nov. 14
James M. Scott, author of several highly acclaimed books on military history, will be guest speaker at the National Press Club's American Legion Post 20 meeting at noon Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the McClendon Room.
