Do you ever wonder what happens on the Press Building's 4th floor? Get an insider's look at the National Press Club’s Broadcast Operations Center housed there on a tour for members coming up in September. Club closed Monday for Labor Day
The National Press Club will be closed Monday, Sept. 2, for Labor Day. The Club will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 3. The library at the Club has been closed Thursday and Friday, Aug. 29 and 30; it will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 3, to resume regular hours. The next issue of the Wire will be delivered on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

American Legion Post 20 meeting at noon today to feature head of Mariners' Museum
The president and CEO of the Mariners' Museum and Park in Newport News, Virginia, will speak on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at a noon meeting of the National Press Club's American Legion Post 20. Reception tonight marks opening of 2024 members photo show now on display
The 25th annual National Press Club members photography exhibit is now on display in the Club's main lobby through Sept. 30. The show presents 203 digital images and print photos from 52 members. As part of the exhibit, NPC's Photography Team is honoring Marshall Cohen, who started the event in 1999, along with Christy Bowe and Jim Dandridge, who like Cohen took part in every show since it began. Guest speakers provided updates on preservation of the famed Civil War ironclad USS Monitor and the fast-approaching ceremonial unveiling of the centerpiece sculpture at the nation's World War I Memorial, during the Sept. 4 meeting of National Press Club American Legion Post 20. The National Press Club will show the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, in the Fourth Estate Room.
