Join American Legion Post 20 on a June visit to the Cold War museum
Club members are invited to visit the Cold War Museum at Vint Hill, Virginia, coupled with a wine tasting at Vint Hill Craft Winery. The event takes place on Friday, June 21. Vint Hill Farms Station served as an Army and NSA signals intelligence site from World War II through the Cold War, until 1997. The decommissioned site has been privatized, and the establishments there lean hard into the site's military history. Vint Hill Craft Winery's motto is "You Were Never Here." Club's most recent presidents feted at Long Gray Line luncheon
A tradition begun decades ago by 1956 National Press Club President Frank Holeman was revived last week when past presidents gathered in what is called “The Long Gray Line” to welcome the newest “has beens” to their ranks. In recent years, 1978 Club President Frank Aukofer, had organized more recent luncheons, but the tradition was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the Club returned to normal operations, Aukofer restored the past presidents' luncheon. To make up for lost time, five past presidents were honored, including 2020 President Mike Freedman, who passed away last year. …

Club Scholarship Team needs judges for last round of 2024 applicants
The National Press Club Scholarship Team seeks volunteers to help judge applications for the Dennis and Shirley Feldman Fellowship, which recognizes a student or professional journalist pursuing graduate studies in journalism. Judging will be conducted virtually via Zoom starting at 10 am ET on Saturday, April 27. Judges will review application materials the week before the meeting and make selections as a group that day.
