Frontline report on Trump's actions on Jan. 6 to be shown March 27
PBS Frontline's "Democracy on Trial," which investigated the roots of the criminal cases against former President Donald Trump stemming from his 2020 presidential election loss, will be shown at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at 6 p.m. in the Club Ballroom. The showing will be followed by a discussion with producer Mike Wiser and Temidayo Aganga-Williams, former Senior Investigative Counsel for the Jan. 6th Committee, who examined the House Jan. 6 select committee’s evidence against Trump and the threat to democracy. American Legion Post 20 meeting Wednesday features son of renowned Cold War U-2 pilot
Francis Gary Powers Jr., son of the famed U-2 pilot, will speak at the next meeting of the National Press Club American Legion Post 20. The meeting takes place at noon Wednesday, March 27, in the McClendon Room and is open to all Club members. This will be a luncheon meeting, and attendees are asked to bring cash to pay for their lunch, which will be combined on one bill. For those who can't attend in person, there will be a Zoom feed . The Reliable Source, the National Press Club's hub for fellowship and good food and drink, is now open morning, noon and night -- serving breakfast, lunch and dinner every weekday. The Club offers complimentary breakfast service for members from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday to Friday, with a la carte options available for purchase.
