Hoist a cold NPC First Draft beer in the new year
The National Press Club's exclusive beer has a name: First Draft. Governor Debra Silimeo was one of 220 members who suggested names, and her entry was the winner. “Journalism is called the first draft of history," she said. "Seems appropriate, and easy to order.” She won a $100 Reliable Source gift card and personalized Press Club beer mug for her suggestion. Silimeo's entry received 98 votes, more than twice as much as 43 who voted for the second-place finisher, Thirst Amendment, submitted by Frank Fuhrig.
