Having problems voting in the 2022 National Press Club elections? If so, please contact [email protected] and the staff will assist you. Online balloting, which began Monday, will end at 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9. Members will be able to vote in-person at the Club on Friday, Dec. 9, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. To vote online, use the unique code provided in an email from the Club sent on Monday,. Candidate statements can be found on the Club website. Members must be logged in to view the statements and to vote.

Club closed rest of week for Thanksgiving
The National Press Club will close Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Club will resume normal operations on Monday, Nov. 28. The Wire will not publish while the Club is closed. The next edition will be on Monday.

Panel to explore Hispanic representation in newsrooms, Thursday
A look at Latino underrepresentation in the media and entertainment industry will be discussed beginning at noon Thursday, Dec. 1, at the National Press Club. According to the Government Accountability Office, Latino journalists make up only 12% of employees in media organizations, compared with up nearly 19% of the U.S. population. Hispanic representation in the media workforce has grown at a slower pace (only 1%) than in non-media industries, which grew to 18% from 15%. The team of volunteer photographers who shoot National Press Club events will be recognized at the Photo Team's annual holiday party beginning at noon Thursday, Dec. 8, in the Cosgrove Lounge. Online voting continues this week for National Press Club officers and board members for 2023.
