New Member Orientation will be offered for all new and existing members of the National Press Club on April 17th in the Reliable Source. New $5,000 award recognizes outstanding writing on business, social impact
A new non-fiction writing prize will recognize a dynamic writer who aims to ignite positive social change through published work on the theme of business and its impact on society. The $5,000 Bruce Piasecki and Andrea Masters Annual Award on Business and Society Writing seeks to inspire future generations to become catalysts for a better, more just society. Post 20 recognized by D.C. American Legion for past year's leadership
American Legion Post 20, which meets in the Club, has been recognized by the D.C. Department of the Legion for its leadership during the last year. The Post remained active during the pandemic via Zoom meetings featuring guest speakers. Post Commander Jim Noone is one of two Department commanders named "Commander of the Year" and one of six cited as "Outstanding Legionnaire." Strong Taco Night turnout propels Club toward full reopening
Nearly 100 National Press Club members and guests celebrated the return of Taco Night, a significant step toward the further reopening of the Club to in-person activities. The June 11 event was the first time the Club’s traditional Friday evening happy hour has been held since March 13, 2020, when it was suspended due to social distancing concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic.
