NPC Member Christie Wagner invites National Press Club members to portray nightclub patrons in a motion picture to be filmed at the library at Gallaudet University at 1 p.m. June 20. The film, entitled "Memories of the Warsaw Ghetto", is based on a true story by the 82-year-old screenplay writer, who is a survivor. It takes place in early 1940s Poland. To appear in the film, members must be over 21 and adhere to the time period of 1940s Poland, including dress, hair and jewelry appropriate for a 1940s nightclub. Two-act drama by NPC's Gallo to play at Greenbelt Arts Center
National Press Club member Anthony Gallo's play, "The Botticelli Cruise" will be presented by the Greenbelt Arts Center and the Seventh Street Playhouse over the next two weekends. The two-act drama follows three bizarre characters and a mysterious captain on a cruise around the east coast of Africa. NPC members traveled back in time to three days of Civil War history on the Club's June 8 visit to Gettysburg National Park, in advance of the park's July 1 observation of the 150th anniversary of the epic battle. International Correspondents have moving visit to U.S. Holocaust Museum
Members of the International Correspondents Committee visited the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum on June 14 as the museum commemorates its 20th anniversary. The museum, located near the Mall between 14th and 15th streets, attracts thousands of visitors each day of every age from around the world.
