Seasonal food and drinks are on the menu at the National Press Club’s annual buffet dinner for members and guests at the Reliable Source restaurant on Thursday, Dec. 12. The sumptuous holiday feast will be accompanied by cool jazz from The Renée Tannenbaum Trio. Buffet service begins at 5:30 p.m., with the jazz following at 6 p.m. in the Truman Lounge. The National Press Club House and Bar Team will meet Monday, Nov. 18, at noon in the John Cosgrove Memorial Lounge. The House Team is recruiting new members with the goal of adding a representative from every other Club team to broaden our input from Club members. National Press Club members -- especially veterans -- and their spouses and guests are invited to a reception on Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of American Legion Post 20. The post has been affiliated with the Club since its inception. Register online for the event. Post 20 has an illustrious pedigree. It was started at the suggestion of famed World War I General John “Black Jack” Pershing, who commanded the American Expeditionary Force (AEF) in Europe.
