TAPS founder to address Post 20 Thursday, March 13
Bonnie Carroll, president and founder of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), a national program providing support to persons affected by the death of those serving in or supporting the armed forces, will address the Thursday, March 13, luncheon meeting of the Club's American Legion Post 20. Schneider wins Texas AP broadcasters' award for Afghanistan reporting
Andrew Schneider, non-resident member and former Speakers Committee chair, won the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters' award for a special series for his "Winding Down the War," on the war in Afghanistan. There will be an awards banquet Saturday, April 12, in Austin, Texas.

March 5 Communicators Breakfast postponed
Due to severe weather, the Communicators Breakfast planned for Wednesday, March 5 is postponed. The guest speaker, best-selling author and business advisor Les McKeown, is unable to travel to Washington from his home in Boston. McKeown’s presentation on how organizations can break through gridlock to achieve world-class success will be rescheduled for another breakfast later this year.
