Club member helps launch AFRICA TODAY; New TV channel brings African news To U.S.
National Press Club member Tony Culley-Foster recently helped launch AFRICA TODAY, a new television channel dedicated to bringing news of Africa to the African diaspora and those in the United States who are interested in Africa. The new venture is similar to a successful channel IRELAND TODAY that Culley-Foster helped launched in 2013. AFRICA TODAY held a launch event at the National Press Club in late February that was attended by more than a dozen ambassadors of African nations among other dignitaries. AFRICA TODAY will be carried on the MHz network on cable systems nationwide.

Silent auction features Club artist's work, 6:30 pm March 28
National Press Club members are invited to attend a silent auction from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, March 28, at the National Woman's Democratic Club, 1526 New Hampshire Ave. N.W. Club member Carol Morgan will auction her 8-inch terra cotta statuette, "Male torso," to raise money for Dupont Circle Village, a nonprofit dedicated to helping older adults live out their lives in their homes.
