NPC Board Member Alison Fitzgerald Wins Polk Award
Alison Fitzgerald, a newly elected member of the National Press Club Board of Governors, was part of a team selected this week to win the George Polk Award for Business Reporting. Fitzgerald and her colleagues from The Center for Public Integrity won for their three-part series “After the Meltdown." National Press Club members can buy tickets for the Gridiron Club's 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9 reprise to be held in the ballroom of the Washington Renaissance Hotel. The reprise is traditionally staged for friends and family The Gridiron's white-tie dinner has taken place for 126 years, andnfeatures songs and skits that singe -- not burn -- the president, congressional leaders and others. Are you a new member of National Press Club? Want to learn more about what the Club has to offer you? You can find out at a choice of two New Member Orientation sessions Tuesday, Feb. 11.
