Photo Committee to hold 'show and tell,' noon Feb. 25
The next meeting of the National Press Club Photography Committee will take place at noon, Wednesday, Feb. 25, in the McClendon Room. There will be no speaker. Instead, after lunch, the meeting will be devoted to a "show and tell" session in which everyone who attends will have the opportunity to show one or two photographs of which they are especially proud and receive comments from other attendees. Club member Joe David's new book explores genocide through mother's eyes
National Press Club member Joe David has written a paced novel, "The Infidels." The book is about a genocide, perpetrated by the Muslim Turks against the Christians, that occurred exactly 100 years ago. This historically accurate story is a fictionalization of his mother’s experiences – and her success at surviving, what he often refers to as the unfinished war against the Christians. National Press Club member Steven Olikara has been named by Washington Life magazine to its 10th annual list of under-40 power players in the capital. The magazine cited Olikara, 24, as “the founder and president of the Millennial Action Project and the driving force behind establishing the bipartisan Congressional Future Caucus, the nation’s first Millennial-led caucus in the U.S. Congress.
