It's time to enter your best print photos and electronic images into the National Press Club's 20th annual members photo exhibit. Photos and electronic images for the exhibit are accepted today through Friday, Aug. 16, for display in the Club's 13th floor lobby from Aug. 30 to Sept. 27. House and Bar Team to meet Aug. 12
The National Press Club House and Bar Team will meet Monday, Aug. 12, at noon in the John Cosgrove Memorial Lounge. The team is recruiting new members with the goal of adding a representative from every other Club team to broaden our input from Club members. National Press Club members now have until Wednesday, Aug. 21, to submit their print photos and electronic images in the Club's 20th annual photo exhibit. Club seeks runners, walkers for James W. Foley Freedom Run, Oct. 20
The National Press Club is assembling a team of reporters and communicators to participate in the fifth annual James W. Foley Freedom Run in D.C., an event to raise both awareness and funding for journalists' safety, including education and advocacy efforts. The 5K Run/Walk will occur at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, in Rock Creek Park Grove 1. WW II veteran, 100, to address American Legion Post 20 on battles after Midway, Sept. 18
Retired Navy Capt. Jack Crawford, a World War II Battle of Midway veteran, will be guest of honor and speaker at a luncheon meeting of the National Press Club's American Legion Post 20 at noon Wednesday, Sept. 18, in the McClendon Room. The speaker portion of the meeting is open to all Club members. It will be Capt. Crawford's second appearance before Post 20. In July 2017, he discussed his Battle of Midway experience on the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown.
