NPC member receives top award from Consumer Federation of America
National Press Club member Larry Blanchard received the highest civilian honor from the Consumer Federation of America (CFA) at the organization's 42nd annual awards dinner June 15. The large, Washington-based consumer group gave Blanchard the 2012 Esther Peterson Consumer Service Award, named in honor of the lifelong consumer advocate who served in the administrations of Presidents John F. NPC members invited to Kazakhstan Embassy Night June 26
Last summer, HE Ambassador Erlan A. Idrissov invited the National Press Club to the Kazakhstan Embassy for an evening of discussion of the nation’s foreign policy and economic and political developments since the end of Soviet rule in December 1991. Now, on the event's one year anniversary, Ambassador Idrissov has renewed his invitation for NPC members to return to the embassy to continue the discussion. Biliovschi wins World Silver Medal at New York Festivals for the World's Best TV & Films
National Press Club member Mihaela Biliovschi recently won the World Silver Medal at New York Festivals for the World's Best TV & Films for her team's news documentary work. Biliovschi originated the project and did all of the U.S. interviews and video work while she was the Antena-3 Bureau Chief in Washington, D.C. The Gold Medal winner in her category was CNN. She is currently living and working in Cameroon, Africa, as the special media assistant in the Ambassador's office at U.S. Embassy.
