Pulitzer Photo Presentation, Noon Nov. 17
Carol Guzy, Washington Post photojournalist, will present a copy of one of her three Pulitzer Prize-winning photos to the Club during a lmeeting of the Photography Committee at noon, Wednesday, Nov. 17, in the McClendon Room. All Club members are welcome to attend; however, seating is limited in the McClendon Room, so please arrive early. This will be the first Pulitzer Prize-winning photo taken by a woman photojournalist to be displayed on the NPC's walls as part of the Club's permanent Pulitzer photo collection. Broadcast Committee ISO Video Experts
Do you shoot and edit video? Are you interested in working with with skilled journalists and communicators to create material for the Club's website? Mentor, Mentee Applications Due Nov. 19
Applications for participation in the 2010 NPC Mentoring Program are due Friday, Nov. 19. Volunteers are especially needed to serve as mentors. This is a one-year commitment aimed at benefiting members at all stages of their careers. The program is open to journalists and PR professionals. Once matches are made, mentors will be given a copy of the mentee's application to the program. After meeting at a kick-off reception and based on what the mentee said in the program application, mentors and mentees can mutually agree on how often they would like to have contact and under what circumstances…

McDowell Scholarship Established
The family of Charles Rice McDowell Jr. has established a journalism scholarship fund at Washington and Lee University, his alma mater. Mr. McDowell, a longtime political columnist for the Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch and a 24-year member of the National Press Club, died Friday, Nov. 5.
