Please Help Solicit Silent Auction Donations
We're in search of luxury items and experiences for this year’s silent auction, which will raise money for training programs produced by the Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library, the Club’s non-profit arm. The silent auction will take place during the annual Fourth Estate Award dinner Oct. 15. The silent auction subcommittee would appreciate assistance from Club members who are willing to request donations from celebrities or contacts at restaurants, hotels or other firms. Women Sought for Migraine Study
A sponsor of the 5K run/walk, Neurology and Headache Treatment Center, is in search of participants in a migraine study. If you suffer with recurring migraines, you are invited to volunteer for a clinical study involving 4,500 women who suffer from migraine headaches. The study will research the safety, effect and tolerability of an investigational drug for migraines in women. Researchers are looking for interested volunteers who are women 18 years of age or older, have a history of migraine for at least three months and experience at least two migraines per month. Andrew Price, 43 Years on NPC Staff
Veteran waiter Andrew Price reached a 43-year milestone at the Club this week. He has served meals to kings and presidents and movie stars, but what Price likes to do most is feed the media. "He picked the right job when he showed up for work one hot August day 43 years ago," Executive Director Bill McCarren said. "He has been with us ever since.
