Members' Photo Exhibit in Lobby Until Sept. 30
An overflow crowd attended the opening reception of the 11th annual NPC Members' Photo Exhibit on Sept. 2. Club President Alan Bjerga opened the exhibit with remarks recognizing the photographic accomplishments of the Club's member-photographers. The 185 photos taken by 49 NPC members will be on display in the Club's lobby until Sept. 30. Training Committee Meets 8:30 am Sept. 8
The Professional Development Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, but the location has changed to the Fourth Estate Restaurant at the round table in the alcove. Club members with ideas for training programs are invited to attend to pitch their ideas. Crab Fest 5:30 pm Sept. 16; RSVPs Required, Limit on Guests
The annual Crab Fest Night is from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, in the Reliable Source Restaurant. The buffet will feature blue crabs, sweet corn, hot dogs, BBQ, coleslaw and berry pies. The buffet is $17, not including beverage, tax and tip. There is a limit of 10 guests per NPC member. How to Communicate with Foreigners, 6:30 pm Sept. 13
Club member Larry Wojno will make a presentation on "How to Communicate with Foreigners" at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, in the McClendon Room as part of the meeting of the International Correspondents Committee. The event is open to NPC members and their guests. Wojno is a 30-year veteran of advertising agencies in Ohio and New York. He holds a master's degree in public and international affairs. A reception honoring Club members whose photos are displayed in the members' photography exhibit is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, in the lobby and Library classroom.
