The International Correspondents Committee has organized a daylong trip to Annapolis, Md., on Saturday, Oct. 23. Flu Shots Oct 21; $25
Flu shots will be administered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, in the Winners' Room. The price is $25; Medicare Part B will be honored. Proposed Change to Club Constitution Would Add Non-Voting Representative of Library
The NPC Board voted Sept. 14 to recommend the CLub membership approve a change in the Constitution to add the president of the Eric J. Friedheim National Journalism Library Board as an ex-officio member of the National Press Club Board of Governors. Club nembers will vote on the proposed amendment at the fall membership meeting at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8. Board Proposes Streamlined Membership Categories; Club Votes 6 pm Oct. 8
The Board of Governors voted Sept. 14 to recommend that the Club membership approve changes in the Constitution and Bylaws to streamline and rationalize the Club's membership category structure. The membership will be asked to vote at the fall membership meeting at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8. The new approach reduces the complexity of the Club's current 12 membership categories and 49 sub-categories while giving greater recognition to the contributions of the Club's non-journalist members through a name change from the current associate/affiliate categories to "Communicator." The Silver Owls will look at three decades of C-SPAN telecasts of the Club’s luncheons at the Fall Hoot, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21. Tickets are $35.
