Reliable Source to offer kids menu before magic show April 17
Mesfin Mekonen, Reliable Source manager, and Susan Delbert, NPC executive chef, have teamed to offer a children’s menu for club members and guests before the annual magic show starts Wednesday, April 17, at 7 p.m. Menu highlights include fish fingers, chicken tenders, hot dogs, mac and cheese or plain spaghetti, and chocolate and vanilla ice cream with sundae sauce. Five magicians from the Society of American Magicians Assembly 23 will perform the family-friendly magic show in the conference rooms. Your spouse or domestic partner can be a member of the National Press Club for $10 a month. The spouse/partner membership includes nearly all the same privileges offered to all the other categories of membership, including use of both restaurants, the fitness center, the library and the business center. The National Press Club thanked the Washington Post earlier this month for supplying historic newspaper mats and offset plates that adorn the Club's walls. National Press Club President Angela Greiling Keane presented a plaque expressing the Club's gratitude to Washington Post Assistant Plant Manager Roddy MacPherson and the Springfield, Va., printing plant manager, Frank Abbott at the March 4 meeting of the House and Bar Committee.
