Reservations still available for holiday buffet
Reservations are still being accepted for Thursday's annual holiday buffet and jazz night at the Club. Dinner will be served starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Reliable Source, with the Greater U Street Jazz Collective performing beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Truman Lounge. Watch GOP debate in conviviality of Reliable Source, Dec. 15; public Debate Watch Party canceled
Sure, you can watch the latest Republican debate next Tuesday, Dec. 15, night at home. But why sit at home when you can watch the GOP hopefuls go at it in the convivial company of other Club members and friends at the Club's Reliable Source restaurant? The restaurant will air the debate in the Truman Lounge on its wider screen (wider, probably, than yours at home) at 8 p.m. The Reliable Source will be the only place at the Club you can watch the telecast. The Debate Watch party previously scheduled for the Club's Conference Rooms and open to the general public at charge, has been canceled.…

Panel named to advise Club's Board on how to spend proceeds from sale of Rockwell painting
The National Press Club announces the formation of a Financial Advisory Panel that will give advice to the Board of Governors' Budget Committee on long-term security and growth of the proceeds of the Norman Rockwell artwork sale. The six-person panel of Club members will meet for the first time this month. The panel will give advice on issues such as which firms will handle the money, allocation of the proceeds and investment strategy.
