The period for submitting entries for the 17th annual National Press Club Members' Photography Exhibit begins on Monday, Aug. 1, so now's the time to get your photos printed for display. Entries will be accepted in the Club's membership office on the 13th floor through Friday, Aug. 12. The exhibit is the Club's annual celebration of photographic talent, by pros and amateurs alike, within its membership ranks. It is not a contest; there are no judges nor prizes awarded. Committee encourages members to apply to present Club Book Raps
Do you have a new book coming out in the next few months? Would you like to present it at a Book Rap at the National Press Club? If so, please let the Club's Books & Author Committee know. While our criteria are very high and based on many different factors, we do make an extra effort to accommodate Club members. We hold Book Raps on journalism, history, politics, novels and -- once in a while -- children's books. We need at least three months' notice before a book is published.
