National Press Club member and former Club governor Ed Barks has just published his second book, "A+ Strategies for C-Suite Communications: Turning Today's Leaders into Tomorrow's Influencers." Vietnam veteran and author Bill Lord will be guest speaker at the National Press Club's American Legion Post 20 meeting at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the McClendon Room. The speaker portion of the meeting is open to all Club members. Lord, a Club member, will discuss his recently published book, "50 Years After Vietnam: Lessons and Letters from the War I Hated Fighting." Lord has been a television news reporter, foreign correspondent and news manager. His final position in his long and distinguished television news career was general manager of ABC affiliate WJLA-TV in Washington.…

The National Press Club Young Members Team has invited new Club member CNN Washington Bureau Chief and Senior Vice President Sam Feist to be the next “Cocktails with Champions” speaker. Application deadline Feb. 3 for Columbia energy journalism program
The Feb. 3 deadline is coming up soon for the Columbia Energy Journalism Initiative's 2019 program for energy reporters in the U.S. and abroad. The program includes a seminar June 11-14 in New York City featuring experts in energy and the environment from academia, government and industry.
