Now that the Truman Lounge at the National Press Club has received a face lift, the bookshelves are open and waiting for us to stock with some books. If you're a Club member and author, please drop by or mail us a copy of your book to include on the shelves. Not all books will be displayed but it'll be good to have a variety for members to peruse. Of course, members may borrow said books as well, so there's no guarantee all the books will remain. But even offering some might be a fun way to show off the great work by our Club members. Wouldn't it be nice to have our members' work displayed…

Members come first, says outgoing governor
I hope you’ll allow me some personal reflections as I step off the National Press Club Board of Governors following a nine-year tenure. My primary goal over the years has been to build bridges between Communicator and Journalist members. There was a time not that long ago when we communicators were merely tolerated. That had to change. After all, we represent a large percentage of Club membership and have a stake in the Club’s success. Much headway has been made. How did this progress come about?
